Introducing the Verus: Geotrek Vans Raises the Bar for Class B+ Travel
Purpose-Built for Extended Off-Grid Travel, the Verus Gives Travelers Greater Range and Independence
BOULDER, Sept. 10, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Geotrek Vans, the leading Colorado-based manufacturer of premium campervans, is expanding what a Class B+ campervan can be with the introduction of the Verus. This four-season campervan is built entirely in Geotrek’s Colorado headquarters on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 170-inch cab chassis with all-wheel drive that delivers 60% more living space than Geotrek's 144-inch Sprinter models. With a full-size queen bed, indoor shower, substantial gear storage, 1,000 watts of solar and the power capacity to support extended off-grid travel, the Verus is designed for people who want the capability to travel farther without giving up the comforts that make it possible to stay longer.
The Verus occupies a growing space between the traditional Class B+ campervan and larger motorhomes. This growing B+ campervan category offers more room to live without giving up the maneuverability, efficiency and go-anywhere capability that make a van appealing in the first place. The Verus indicates a shift in the campervan market as adventurers seek a van that can stretch exploration by weeks and months, rather than days.
“We kept hearing from people who loved the way our smaller vans drove and handled, but wanted more room to actually live in them,” said Geotrek Vans co-founder Grant McCrabb. “Inspired by the endless opportunities for exploration available in our home state of Colorado, the introduction of the Verus arrives as adventurers across the country are looking for a van that allows them to stay out longer, carry more and establish a home wherever you park. The Verus came out of listening to those conversations and figuring out how to add that space without losing what people loved about a Class B in the first place.”
The Verus gives travelers space to cook a real meal, take a hot shower, stretch out in a full-size bed, bring the gear for whatever adventure is on tap and settle in when a weekend trip turns into something longer. Geotrek built the Verus for longer trips, with the space and comfort to handle changing weather, remote trailheads and whatever else the road brings.
The Verus is designed around extended, four-season travel. Its R-11 rated insulated composite living area combines a thin, durable fiberglass exterior, high-density XPS foam and interior white fiber-reinforced paneling, creating a lightweight, durable shell designed to withstand life on the road. Six exterior aluminum storage boxes keep bulky gear outside the living area, while a 60-cubic-foot rear garage provides additional storage and houses the outdoor shower, 43-gallon freshwater tank and full off-grid battery system.
The Verus allows adventurers to travel farther off the interstate and beyond established campgrounds to unlock new destinations. Each thoughtfully designed element grants travelers the capacity to pursue unexplored locales with the self-sufficiency to drive through the blistering desert or frigid tundra.
Powering that lifestyle is a 1,000-watt solar array on its roof paired with an EcoFlow Power System, allowing travelers the ability to spend days away from shore power. Its alternator charging system puts drive time to work, fully charging its interior power systems battery in under six hours of drive time. Together, the systems are designed to make extended off-grid travel less about managing power and more about deciding where to go next.
“For us, the challenge wasn't simply making a bigger van. It was figuring out where every inch should go and making sure the added space improved the experience,” said Geotrek Vans Co-founder Mark Woodard. “The garage, exterior storage and larger living area let us move a lot of the bulk that normally takes over a campervan outside of the living space. You end up with a van that feels open and comfortable while you're in it but still has the capacity to carry everything you need for extended time on the road.”
Inside, the Verus brings the comforts of home without sacrificing functionality. A full-size queen bed, indoor shower, full-size Dometic refrigerator and freezer, and bamboo countertops make everyday life easier, whether that means brewing coffee before dawn, cooking dinner after a long day outside or waiting out a storm in comfort. An induction cooktop, deep sink and table buildout add functionality without turning the interior into a maze of compromises.
With more living space, substantial storage, extended off-grid power and four-season capability, the Verus is designed for travelers who want to spend more time on the road without moving into a much larger vehicle.
The Verus is available for purchase starting at $198,775. For more information, please visit geotrekvans.com/models/verus. Please direct media inquiries to Account Manager Katie Davis at katie@chair6collective.com.
